Psalms 34:3
I began playing piano at five years old, studying classical and contemporary music for seven years and earning awards, including All-State recognition. At thirteen, I became a lead pianist in ministry, developing my gospel style. I’ve since continued training in performance, production, and theory while actively playing and teaching.
I meet each student where they are, combining structure with flexibility. Lessons include technique, theory, and creativity, always tailored to individual learning styles. I’m patient, encouraging, and honest, helping students grow in both skill and confidence while keeping lessons engaging, supportive, and enjoyable every step of the way.
Teaching has always been part of who I am. My first student was my grandmother, whose encouragement helped fuel my journey. I love seeing students grow in confidence and joy as they play. My goal is for every student to leave lessons with passion, courage, and a deeper connection to the gift of music.

Not at all. I’ve personally learned alongside students in their 70s and 80s who started later in life and made wonderful progress. While learning may look a little different at an older age, growth is absolutely possible. I’m a very patient, and I understand the physical and mental challenges that can come with learning later in life. We’ll move at a pace that’s comfortable for you and grow together.
I teach children ages 5 and up, as well as women of all ages.
Yes— all of the above. My lessons are well-rounded and designed to develop students into complete musicians, not just pianists. You’ll learn to understand music, not just play it.

Children typically take 30-minute lessons, while adult lessons are one hour.
Most students take lessons once a week. For younger children, twice a week is often recommended for faster progress, but it is not required.
Lessons are held in our music studio located directly behind Xtreme Optics. Contact us for additional details and directions.
Yes, having an instrument at home is important for consistent progress. If you’re unsure what to purchase, I’d be happy to guide you during your free consultation and help you find a quality option that fits your needs and budget.
Yes! I’m happy to schedule siblings consecutively once we find a time that works well for your family.
Not at this time, but online lessons may be offered in the future.
Learning music is a lifelong journey—there’s always more to grow in. However, many students begin to feel confident and proficient within 2 to 5 years. Progress depends on consistency in lessons and practice. For younger students, it may take a bit longer, but the foundation they build is incredibly valuable.
My teaching style is tailored to each student and their goals.
For children, I focus on building a strong, lasting foundation. Students develop a clear understanding of music theory, consistent sight-reading skills, and the ability to learn new pieces with confidence. Over time, they become more independent and capable musicians.
For adults, lessons are highly personalized and flexible. I shape each lesson around your goals—whether that’s learning your favorite songs, growing in a specific style like Gospel, or simply enjoying music at your own pace. With consistency and commitment, many adult students are able to learn the songs they love within their first year.
No matter the age, my goal is to help each student not just play the piano, but truly understand and enjoy music.
